Account Manager


Our Account Managers are responsible for owning a piece of the client’s business as they collaborate with our Creative, Strategy, Digital, Media and PR teams. Santy is a 25 year old full-service Marketing Communications agency. We are growing and are looking for high-energy, whip-smart Account Managers to join our Account Services team. This is a full-time position with benefits in our Scottsdale, AZ office. Key Accountabilities

• Possess and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the dynamics and workings of the client’s business

• Demonstrate knowledge of the overall competitive landscape

• Have a solid understanding of client and Agency operations

• Build and manage the client’s business through recommending, creating and delivering effective marketing

• Work with other Agency teams to develop effective strategies, creative briefs and other work

• Challenge direction or the status quo and seek alternative perspectives and approaches in developing effective marketing strategies

• Create, write and present agency POVs in developing ideas and advertising that best meet client objectives

• Lead client meetings and perform periodic client reviews

• Participate in the presentation and sale of creative and media plans

• Evaluate the input and ideas of creative, media and strategic planning relative to strategy and client preferences

• Manage entire production process and all budgets on their business

• Advocate their business internally and keeps the complete agency team informed, focused, and motivated about their business


• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

• 4+ years marketing or advertising experience required

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Effective conflict resolution skills

• Positive and solutions oriented attitude

• Ability to understand and manage client politics/client perspective to understand ripple effect

• Ability to write creative brief including recommendation for main thought

• Solid understanding of media and digital capabilities

• Strong understanding of marketing disciplines as options and when to use different options

• Demonstrated financial skills in order to be responsible for estimates on projects, track budgets and communicate status

• Direct client experience in some or all of the following categories is preferred: professional services, CPG or multi-unit retail.

• Communicate effectively in both a verbal and written manner; proofing work of oneself and others

• Ascertain the client’s needs and effectively communicate them back to both the client, Account Team and agency resources

• Maintains direct, timely and appropriate communications with Account team and/or client through conference reports, status updates, etc.

Agency Operations

• Understand and follow all agency procedures

• Ensure that accurate time sheets are kept and submitted in a timely basis for oneself and Account Team

• Remain knowledgeable about the operations of the agency as a whole

• Explain procedures and operations to others within the department on the assigned accounts


• Take overall ownership of assigned accounts and processes vs. relying on others

• Look for ways to contribute and add value to the assigned accounts and Account Team
